Byan is a youth support company operating in QLD and FNQ, we support youths in residential placements, emergency placements, on country programs and cultural engagement activities, we also offer adventure based learning, please reach out to learn more.
What we do
Byan supports at risk youths in long term and emergency residential placements.
On country programs
Byan offers on country programs ranging from 2-3 days in locations around the cape, young people get the chance to connect and learn while out bush and on country, having the chance to experience be culturally enriched while also getting away from the stresses and maybe bad habits everyday life brings.
Cultural Activities
Byan offers a range of one cultural and educational experiences, these days will include fun physical activity’s, a cultural activity, traditional cook up all while building confidence in young participants.
Adventure learning
Byan offers single day adventure learning activities, these are comprised of adventure based physical activities, kayaking, fishing, hiking, indoor rock climbing and day camping for those who have difficulty staying away overnight.
Why we do it
Byan specializes in working with our most at risk and complex young people, with a dedicated and culturally aware team.
We aim to bring positive changes to our most underappreciated young people, all our programs and activities serve to help brake negative cycles such as, crime, substance abuse, family violence and mental health episodes.
Byan is a First Nations Owned and operated company, we are working to help all young people and create more opportunities for our first nations community’s.
