Our Model of Care

Whether a placement is emergent or commercial-based, our approach remains centred on the young person.

We believe effective residential care is built on:

Culture

Culture is a fundamental conner stone in our model of care

Country

We endeavour to connect our young people with country

Respect

We treat every young person with dignity and respect and recognise their individual identity, experiences and strengths.

Relationships

Positive relationships are fundamental to creating a supportive residential environment.

Healing

Everything we do comes back to healing, physically, emotionally and spiritually

A Home, Not Just Accommodation

We recognise that residential care should provide more than a physical place to stay.

Our homes are designed to provide a structured, supportive and welcoming environment where young people can:

  • Feel safe

  • Establish routines

  • Develop positive relationships

  • Participate in education and activities

  • Learn practical life skills

  • Build confidence

  • Develop independence

  • Work towards personal goals

  • Maintain appropriate connections with family, culture and community

We aim to create an environment where young people can experience stability while being supported to work towards their next stage of life.

Our organisation maintains appropriate systems and procedures relating to safeguarding, risk management, incidents, staff responsibilities, complaints and continuous improvement.

Young people are encouraged to express their views, raise concerns and participate in decisions affecting their lives.

Every young person deserves to feel safe, heard and respected.
